Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the Skorlo app (the "App") provided by TURUNCU KATMAN YAZILIM VE TEKNOLOJİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ (the "Company"). By using the App you accept these terms. On iPhone, Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies; these terms apply in addition to it. Your personal data is processed under the Privacy Policy.

1. The App and your account

  • The App is for teachers and academics; you must be at least 18 to use it.
  • You create your account with Apple, Google or an email code and are responsible for keeping it secure. Without an account, features that need credits are unavailable.
  • You can delete your account in the App at any time; remaining credits end with the account and are not refunded.

2. Reading and AI suggestions

  • Bubble-sheet reading may not be perfect for every sheet; the App shows the answers read and the score, and you can correct a doubtful reading.
  • AI reading of written exams produces suggestions only: handwriting can be misread and a rubric can be misapplied. You always set the score and are responsible for accepting a suggestion without reviewing it. The App flags uncertain suggestions but does not promise to catch every error.
  • AI reading is not offered in some countries and depends on capacity limits; it may be paused temporarily.

3. Student data

You (or your institution) are the controller of the student information and papers you enter into the App. You confirm that you are authorised to process this data and — if you use it — to have it read by AI, and that you follow your institution's rules and applicable law, including any institutional policy on AI tools in assessment.

4. Credits and purchases

  • Credits: bubble-sheet grading uses 1 credit per exam; AI reading of written exams uses 1 credit per page read, which includes the first AI grading of that page. AI re-grading of the same paper uses 1 credit per student. Blank or unreadable pages, rescanning the same exam and grading written exams by hand are free.
  • In each calendar month (UTC) your first 5 bubble-sheet exams are graded without using credits. This allowance is not credit: it does not accumulate, does not carry over to the next month and cannot be used for AI reading.
  • Credits are consumable digital content: tied to your account, non-transferable, not exchangeable for cash, and they do not expire. Current packs and prices are shown in the App; payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation.
  • Because credits are supplied immediately on payment, by confirming the purchase you request immediate supply and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once the credits are added (EU consumers), and that there is no right of withdrawal under Turkish distance-sales rules. The pre-purchase information shown in the App forms part of these terms.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If a store refunds a purchase, its unspent credits are removed from your account.
  • If credits are not added or you think they were charged in error, write to iletisim@turuncukatman.com.tr; we check our records and correct it.

5. Acceptable use

Use the App and its AI service only for grading exams. Abusing the system, trying to bypass limits, sending requests with automated tools or using someone else's account is prohibited; the Company may suspend the account in that case.

6. Intellectual property

The software, design, sheet templates and texts of the App belong to or are licensed by the Company. You may freely use the bubble sheets the App prints in your own courses. Exam questions and student answers belong to their owners.

7. Limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for reading or suggestion errors, for loss of data kept on your phone (making backups is your responsibility) or for indirect damages. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

8. Changes

The Company may update these terms; significant changes are announced in the App.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. For consumers, the mandatory consumer protection rules and courts of their country of residence remain available. Otherwise the courts and enforcement offices of Aksaray have jurisdiction.
